Directory
This directory is here to help you find a counsellor, therapist or coach, who specialises in working with the childless community and who has lived experience. It can be hard enough to find us anyway, but how do you know that we’re the right person for you to work with?
This directory is to help you find the right fit, which is why it includes not only who we are, and a bit about us, it also lists our individual specialisms. All of our experiences of childlessness are similar but unique and so we need a counsellor, therapist or coach that is able to key into that uniqueness, and support you.
You are able to find us by name, business name, area (i.e. counselling or coaching) or specialism.

Life Love and Me
Being a Life Coach, an Artist and a passionate mental health advocate, I believe in making the very most of what life has to offer, because of the challenges that we all experience, rather than despite them.
I decided to train as a life coach as I really want others to see and feel the huge benefits that can come from the coaching experience, in my opinion it’s a total game changer!

After the Storm
I’m a trauma informed counsellor, who specialises in working with the childless community. I provide a safe space where you can explore your grief and the shame, while working carefully with the trauma you may have experienced. Because, if there is trauma, then feeling those feelings is actually very scary.
Being trauma informed means being able to support you in a way that we’re respectful and mindful of your past, while recognising its impact on your present and future. This could mean that we never unbox those things, but we have a healthy awareness of them, allowing you to explore and feel in control while you discover what you need to work through your emotions.
Areas of expertise
- Person centred trauma informed counsellor
- Working with shame and grief, loss of purpose
- Hysterectomy and other major surgeries

I am a licensed psychotherapist and have been in practice since 2000. I have worked with a wide array of clients and issues and am especially interested in supporting those on, or considering, a childless path in life. My lived experience as a childless person helps me understand how important it is to find a therapist that ‘gets it.’ My style is warmly direct and I employ a relational, culturally affirming, and trauma-informed model of practice.

Marie Mooney
Marie Mooney Psychotherapy & Counselling
My intention is to hold a safe, compassionate and healing space where people are supported to tell their story, and to reflect, heal and grow.
This often involves expressing the pain of grief and loss, and making sense of the experience while finding a way forward in life which respects and incorporates the loss.
Childlessness can challenge our sense of sense and our relationship to the world around us. Taking time to grieve the loss and reconnect with ourselves can help us reconnect with who we are, and redefine what we want for our lives.
Areas of expertise
- Relationships, self, identity, life purpose
- Grief and loss – loss of a person, relationship, beloved pet, identity and job
